Spring Lambs

Finley and Charlotte have done some fun stuff lately - a ski trip to Pineland, a couple days with Grandpa and Mimi without Mom and Dad, and a visit to Papa and Nana.  We'll get some photos of these adventures when we have a chance to get them sorted out.  In the meantime, here's what we've been up to for the last few days:

We're having the usual up and down March transition into spring - a stretch of super warm and sunny weather, followed by a return to winter weather.  Big snowstorm today, so we're having a quiet family day at home.

Last weekend, Crystal Spring Farm invited everyone to see the spring lambs.  Charlotte was very enthusiastic - she loves animals, even though she's also slightly scared of them.  She would have stayed for hours if we'd let her.

Finley didn't have much use for the lambs - he tromped around the barn kicking up straw.

Charlotte has picked up a trick from her brother - she always makes goofy faces when she's posing for a picture.

This was one of the warm thaw days - there's a huge puddle at the end of our driveway that makes a nice lake for trucks and boats.

A rare moment of peace and harmony - story time is good for this.

Did I mention that Finley always makes goofy faces when he's being photographed?  I'm not even sure if he's trying to be silly or if he's just trying too hard to perfect his "picture face."

Last week the kids made vanilla muffins with Daddy.  They originally asked for chocolate chip muffins, but Daddy vetoed that idea, so Charlotte suggested vanilla muffins - turns out that there is such a thing.  They were pretty good!

We had a nice visit from Sam and the Triffitts.  The kids always enjoy playing with Sam and showing off for Ryan and Danielle.

Charlotte loves to get twirled around and upside down.  She giggles the whole time, and demands "Do it again!" before the ride even stops.  It wears the poor old grownups out.

Hugging the new baby.
