First, we have a classic picture of Charlotte & Finley "brushing their teeth":
This month, both kids were subjected to haircuts-by-mom. Charlotte was very excited about hers, but her brother did not like it one bit (although I did get him to smile for before and after pictures, somehow)!! Of course, I am a terrible barber, but Nathan assures me that it's okay for kids to walk around with bad haircuts... I hope he's right!
We've been experimenting with ways of making our own tool belts. Duct tape seemed to work best...
And, if you have such an awesome tool belt made by your very own mult-talented Momma, why ruin the look with pants?
We've been enjoying some front yard soccer.
And our family's first foray into organized soccer. Finley's on the blue team. He ran around at the first practice with a huge smile on his face, only to announce afterward that he didn't like it and did not want to go back. Hmm.. Parenting challenge. Where is the fine line between encouraging and pushing too hard?? We ultimately told him that we wanted him to try one more practice and he did.... And, he seemed to really enjoy it on the second try! Phew! Parenting victory (I think)
Finley's little shadow is always enthusiastic about whatever he's doing. Soccer was no exception!
The kids' little sibling is getting into soccer, too... In the sense that s/he has turned my belly into a soccer ball shape/size AND is working on his/her kicking technique! Yay - a whole family of little soccer enthusiasts!
