how to "make it better"

When Finley got a "bonk" (boo boo) the other day, I offered a magical mommy kiss to make it better. Don't mommy kisses always work? Not in our house, apparently. Finley said, "NO! Your kisses don't make it better - the only thing that makes it better is daddy's rough beard." So, I guess I'm out of fashion with Finley. Oh well.
