July (part twoA)

After we bid the Blocks farewell, we took a day to recover from all the activity, and then headed out again, this time to Embden, to spend five days by the lake with Nana & Papa. Finley really came a long way in his around-the-water comfort level during the visit, going in a couple of days from total avoidance to the water to purposely pushing a toy out into the water so that he would have to wade in to his waist to rescue the toy. We had a great - and mostly restful - time!

Back at home, it was time for company again! This time, Uncle Russ & Aunt Carol were here from Arizona for a visit. Finley just loves them, and spent the day prior to their visit talking about them constantly! We had a very nice time with them, then saw them again over the weekend at our family reunion at Embden! (camera battery died by the time we got to the family reunion, so unfortunately no pictures will appear here) Charlotte was passed around from relative to relative all day at the reunion, and barely uttered a peep other than happy coos. Finley ran around ALL day, having fun with his cousins and with the grown up relatives as well!
