So, we have some milestones to report here:
-Charlotte's first hearty laugh was yesterday! She had, several times, "sort of" laughed, but this was a REAL laugh, directed at Auntie Heather (who I think is pretty funny, afterall!) She's also been doing a great job holding up her little noggin lately and holds it up with a lot of strength when being held and during tummy time.
- Her newest developmental trick is grabbing things and pulling them toward her mouth or chest. She's good at it and has a firm grip!
- On Friday, she touched sand at the beach and dipped her precious little tootsies into the Atlantic Ocean for the first time. While big brother still avoids touching the water at all costs, little sister seemed perfectly okay with having her feet submerged!
-She continues to ask for very little and is generally quite content, quiet, and smiley. So precious!
Finley's also got some new skills. For one, he has been really impressing us with his story comprehension lately. He listens to the 'Charlotte's Web' audiobook frequently - he loves it - and knows the story inside and out. He enjoys talking about it (and about other stories to a lesser degree) and seems to really understand what happens and how the characters relate to one another.
He's also getting to be very verbal and likes trying out new words. His current favorite words to say are: "triangle," "disgusting," difficult," and a couple of words he made up, including "lexico."
Finley continues to refer to himself as "Little Tilly" and insists that he is a cat. He's also very good with pronouns and calls himself "I" and "me" appropriately.
Lately we've finally been able to establish a good quiet time and sleep routine with him and he's definitely flourishing with the added rest!
Both kids are an absolute joy!!! I'll post recent pictures in the next post.
