9 Month Checkup

Finley had his 9 month checkup yesterday - the doctor says he's "perfect," which we already knew, of course. He's growing at a normal rate - he's up to 20 lbs 8 oz and 29 inches, which is quite tall for his weight. Nice to know that everything's going as it should.


I have a secret theory that one of the keys to Finley's healthy growth is his newfound affection for vinegar. Last week, Grandpa let him nibble on a pickle, and he loved it! The other day, we sliced up one of our farm share cucumbers and soaked it in vinegar - it was intended for Dad, but Finley demanded a piece, so we humored him. He loved sucking the vinegar off of the cucumber slice. I'm not sure if this is approved in the parenting books, but we figured it couldn't hurt, since vinegar is one of the most perfect foods ever invented.
