Today was a big day in our house - diaper inventory day! We've been trying out lots of different kinds of diapers to see which kinds we like best - we keep buying more diapers, but it seems like we're always running out no matter how many we get. So today we decided to find out how many we actually have. Here's the tally:
6 organic cotton prefolds (not our favorites for actual diapering but useful for changing pads or cleaning up accidents)
5 big all-in-ones diapers (huge - big enough to fit a small adult).
1 small all-in-one diaper (orange, in case Finley decides to go out in the woods during hunting season)
2 bamboo fiber fitted diapers (w/ 2 inserts)
8 hemp fitted diapers (w/ 7 regular inserts and 7 small inserts)
1 fleece fitted diaper
4 hemp blend fitted diapers (made in Maine and decorated with dinosaurs and other creatures native to Maine)
4 fleece pocket diapers
2 vinyl covers (not really vinyl, but some mysterious vinyl-esque material)
1 fleece cover (about half the size of most of the diapers and thus nearly useless as a diaper cover)

In other news, Finley and his mom had their first big outing today - we went to the Old Port in Portland to have lunch with Heather. It was great to get out of the house and even better to realize that it's not too must trouble to take him on outings - just requires a bit more planning and time than it would without a little baby along.
